In the context of the Saga, yes. Free will implies a soul. If one believes choices will be judged, then to make choices one must have a soul, so to be judged; if we are defining a soul as the eternal portion of a living thing. For example, a plant is a living thing but makes no conscious choices, therefore would have no soul.

yes, but stephenie meyer wrote the series, and so i dont think that it matters. she wrote it for entertainment, and i dont think she intended it to be read into so deeply. but i do think that everybody has a soul, monster or not, bucause dosnt edward ever realize that jacob has a soul? and he is a warewolf? i dont think so, therefore it is a moot point

does anybody besides me ever think of how selfish bella is?

my reasonings
1)in NM, when edward leaves, she leans on jacob for support, then, when edward is in trouble, she runs off and saves him, not thinking about jacob in how she is treating him

2)she cares about jacob so much, but not the same way he cares for her. dont you think she should at lease give an effort to feel the same way? i mean, she just says "well...i love edward" as a team switzerland, i think this is unfair

3)she gets what ever she wants, i mean, cant she take "no" for an awnser...ever?

4)(sorry, this a really long list)when jacob imprints on renesmee, she lunges for his throat, instead of saying "good for you, jacob"



being on team switzerland never implies liking bella, therefor i hate her because of what a selfish creature she is, but at lease she notices her slefishness (to an extent...)

Edward has to have a soul because just think of all the ]good that Edward does and how much love he has for bella and the other Cullens. If he didn't have a soul he wouldnt care if he killed Bella or any other human and he wouldnt care if he acted like a monster or not. Edward and the Cullens do have souls
