I didn't really like the hole sam and jacob getting in a fight thing... i mean it didn't really lead to anything in the book, and it just wasted time... except i guess it made jacob relize that they were just people and didn't do anything wrong.. lets seeee... what else, i didn't like it when edward was freaking out about the baby at Isle Esme how he was just sitting there, i was like OMG GET UP!!! but then i thought it was cute how he was "the burning man" because he knew he had done that to bella... it was soo cute :)

but yeah... and the Voltrui slaughterd the spelling... i thought was kind of slow.
"Hell yes!" :)
"It's about time someone scores around here!" :]

" DAMN IT!" - Edward, end of breaking dawn.

Perfect Set Up for Jacob & Leah - Squandered!

Postby ChecktheNeckforRipeness! on Thu Aug 07, 2008 2:17 pm

Jacob and Leah's warming toward each other, and truly understanding the other's pain and anguish, was touching and well written. I enjoyed watching the closeness unfold between them and was rooting for that happy ending to materialize. I wanted more Leah. I wanted her to fight for her happiness, I wanted her to confront Bella and tell her to give Jacob peace by backing off, and I wanted Leah to make a snack out of Renesmee. Leah, a smart, funny, brave and complex character would have provided dramatic action and The Hero's Journey that is missing from Breaking Dawn.

My least favorite thing about Breaking Dawn was the way Rosalie acted towards Nessie(before she was born), idk i just was really creepy and not in a good way, i really made me kind of hate her...when i read the book i felt like i was in them and Rosalie made me really uncomfortable and i found myself getting really mad whenever she spoke

I totally agree!

I have never lost much love on Rosalie to begin with but this book was the kiss of death of her character for me. I understand the theory that she can't really help her actions in that she was frozen wanting to be a mother and would give up anything- even Emmet- to have a baby of her own. So I guess this was less a kiss of death for her character and more of a dissapointment in the other charaters that, despite how amazingly flawed she was- how willing she was to let Bella die (at more than one point through all the books) just to get what she wanted- they still loved and accepted her.

I started reading the Twilight saga strictly by accident. I rented the DVD Penelope and the credits started with a Twilight teaser. I used to read Anne Rice when I was in highschool a millenia ago and it looked interesting. I have thoroughly enjoyed the series and I cried when I finished the last one

on the topic of the last novel, it was slow at first but i think it was crucial to tell of Jacob and Sam because it showed that Jacob was not going to be a follower anymore and finally take on his birthright. I am personallly team Edward because he is a gentleman. :!:
