  • Edward or Jacob Fan?
    In case you haven't noticed yet, we are running our very own political campaign this summer! We are rocking the vote--the Edward or Jacob vote that is. Who is your favorite? We are looking for your heated and passionate responses. We are looking for music videos and video blogs (which can be sent to tiffshakes@yahoo.com or posted on our youtube channel), and are looking for poetry, songs, artwork...you name it. All submissions must be turned in by July 4th. We will post the best of the best on the Novel Novice Twilight Blog on Wednesdays and Fridays.     Often in literature, a character must face the decision to place personal needs over whats best for those they care about. We see this both with Edward and Bella, and both place their needs and the needs of each other above the needs, and often safety, of their loved ones. Does this make them inherently selfish people? If so, is this their fatal flaw? If not, are we to understand that love is to come before all other things--even family and the laws of nature itself?
